M1 Abrams A.K.A "The Beast"

π The m 1 Abrams was created and design by Chrysler defense now called the general Dynamics land system. The m1 Abrams Is a third generation American main battle tank and one of the most heaviest tank in battle weighing in at whooping 62 metric tons.
π It was developed from the a fallen project of the MBT-70 in which was scrapped off to create the M1 Abrams and it was created in 1972 and entered service from 1980 - present Time and a total number of approximately 10,788 tanks have been produced and out of the 10,788 tanks only 9 tanks have been destroyed 7 by friendly fire and 2 were destroyed purposely when damaged so that the enemy will not use the advanced technology inside the tank.
πIt was used in various wars in the middle East π mostly in the gulf war and the war on Afghanistan.
πIt has five variants named the
. M1: weighing in at 60 short tons.
. M1 A1: weighing in at 63 short metric tons.
. M1 A1 SA: weighing in at 67.6 short metric tons.
. M1 A2 SEPv2: weighing in at 71.2 short metric tons.
. M1 A2C: weighing in at 73.6 short metric tons.
And all of them cost an upgrade cost of $8.58 million dollars and each unit cost $8.92 million dollars as of 2016.
π It has a fuel capacity of 504.4 gallons and move at maximum speed of 72 km/hr
The armor is made up of depleted uranium mesh with ceramics which chemical compound is unknown
